Problem with the "Add App Platform connection" window - failed to connect to The PBX. error 401
I am trying to establish a connection to the PBX in the "Add App Platform connection" window, I am connected to the App Platform, but when connecting to the PBX I receive the message "connection failed. Failed to connect to the PBX"
In the Output window I have:
[10-20 15:35:37.713] PBXConnection.CreateAdminAppObject() failed with system exception.
[10-20 15:35:37.713] The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized

Connects with authentication data assigned in Users Admin.
What am I doing wrong ?

Hello Leszek,

the password used to connect to the PBX is the Administrator Password of the PBX system. It is defined under General => Admin on the advanced UI of the innovaphone PBX. You can also add a dedicated account for Visual Studio here, under "Additional Administrator Accounts".

Hello,

I have the same problem: can not create an app platform connection.

My first steps here. Tried the domain password in both fields as well as the pbx password (pbx - config - security) as "PBX password". The I configured a further admin user with a different password, but still no access.

Hello Andreas,

it should be an admin password of the gateway, where the PBX is running.

For example, in case of innovaphone IP811 gateway, the default username and password combination would be admin/ip811. In case of a VM (IPVA), the combination is admin/ipva.

If you navigate to the UI of the innovaphone gateway in the browser (e.g. https://192.168.1.100/admin.xml?xsl=admin.xsl) you should be able to use the credentials to login here (e.g. admin/ip811).

Hello Andreas,

I have an IP411 with ssd card for the app platform. I installed this with V13 via assistant and meanwhile got the two random passwords: Administrator and PBX password. And with this domain password I get with the user "admin" also to the Advaced-UI of the pbx. Only the access to the PBX via connection manager from the VS2019 does not work. I can access the AP if I do not fill in the lower part when creating the connection.

Since in the domain settings the check mark "Distribute administrative device passwords" sits, the device password (ip411) is exchanged against the domain password.

Also, I created another admin user on the pbx ("admin2") - so that doesn't work either.

This is very strange.

Please check if the IP address are you using to connect is the IP address of the gateway running PBX. Also please check if any firewall is between your PC and the innovaphone gateway.

There is no firewall between the devices. PC and IP411 are in the same network. The windows firewalls has been deactivated.

In the output windows are the following messages:

[10-26 22:08:24.004] PBXConnection.CreateAdminAppObject() failed with system exception.
[10-26 22:08:24.004] Das Remotezertifikat ist laut Validierungsverfahren ungültig.
[10-26 22:08:26.051] Der Objektverweis wurde nicht auf eine Objektinstanz festgelegt.

Hello Andreas,

it looks like you are trying to connect to the PBX via HTTPS.

Usually no HTTPS is used while connecting to the PBX from Visual Studio. Reason could be, you have enabled the option "Force HTTPS" on Services/HTTP/Server on the innovaphone gateway, where the PBX is running.

The device certificate "IP411-..." will not match the IP oft the box, so the connection is not trusted and is rejected by the underlying socket implementation in windows.

Hi,

that was the crucial hint. In fact, I had dutifully checked the "Force HTTPS" box. After I had removed this again, also the connection to the pbx worked. Another step forward.
