Anonymous Outgoing Calls
Hi,

I see much information about anonymous outgoing calls that didn send out the DID number, but i search somthing where both are hide. Is it possible to hide the internal number to?

I want if i do a call, that nobody can see my external and internal number. even not the root number of the company. Possible?

Re: Anonymous Outgoing Calls
Yes, it's possible if your provider supports CLIR, but. I don't know a Provider which support it not.
Unfortunally you can only set CLIR at the device via User-GUI or Admin-GUI. I think it will also possible via DTMF-Featurecode, but I did'nt testet it until now.
I'm searching right now for a central solution at IP29, because I have 40 devices which should get permanent CLIR and I'm too lazy to set it up on every port via DTMF.

Re: Anonymous Outgoing Calls
Hi Niels,

You can set "hide your own number" in a template and assign this (clir)template to the analog users on the IP29's.
This way they all have standard CLIR enabled.

Easy regards wink

Thanks Karl,

That was too easy wink
Do you have also a idea how I can set CLIR only for external calls?

Re: Anonymous Outgoing Calls
Hello Niels,

Just tick 'No CLIR on internal calls' under 'PBX -> Config -> General'...

Re: Anonymous Outgoing Calls
Moin moin,

its only possible to set CLIR for outgoing calls by setting SetPresentation Restricted in the routes. This is of course a static setting, if you add another Gateway with an own prefix you can choose if you call out with Clir or Clip ...
or to use Clir on some called numbers.

Regards,

Achim

Re: Anonymous Outgoing Calls
Hi Ian,
Yes default its works for internal and external calls, unless you just tick 'No CLIR on internal calls' under 'PBX -> Config -> General'

But check also the answer regarding to the CLIR not working for analog interfaces if you do it this way at the moment.

Best regards,
Karl

Re: Anonymous Outgoing Calls
Hello Karl,

As Achim wrote 'its only possible to set CLIR for outgoing calls by setting SetPresentation Restricted in the routes' seems to be right. At a IPVA V12r2sr13 I registered a IP112 an a IP29-port. If I call from the IP112 your solution works, on a call from die IP29-port the number will presentated.

So I have no solution for my problem, because I have to rstrict a lot of users, an a lot not. It will blow up my routing-table, if I make here the restriction for every number. Maybe I can do it on the routing of the analoge gateway, but this will create a lot of configuration-points.

Re: Anonymous Outgoing Calls
Hi NIels,

I reproduced your scenario with an IPI411 as analog gateway ( I dont have an IP29) and registering the two analog interface to my PBX IP800.

Unfortunately you are right. It works for an IPphone but somehow not for an analog interface. Even if I set the config "hide own number" on the user instead of in a template, it wont work.
The only way it worked is by setting the R (set presentation Restricted) in the Route. You can do that in the Analog Gateway.
For example:
TEL1:Tel1

RAB1:Tel1

R
But I agree that is a lot more work and needs configuration at difference places.
Then it is also restricted for internal calls.

Maybe you want to create a supportcase for this at innovaphone?

Re: Anonymous Outgoing Calls
Mind mismatch sad
Unfortunately I made a mistake.

The config changes in a Template like "hide your own number" will be stored in the IPphone of the user.
As an Analog Phone or Analog interface has not this config option, it obviously will not be stored by the template and thus will not work.

The workarround to have a central point for administration for Analog interfaces to send CLIR to external partys, will be creating a route entry in your outgoing trunk with Verify CGPN and set the R (set presentation Restricted)

Improved regards,
Karl

Re: Anonymous Outgoing Calls
I prefer a additional entry in the routing table. For this a use as destination 'map', as I learned here. So I can manipulate the numbers for 1 time and use this manipulated numbers on every step behind this entry. The advantage comes if you haver more than 1 route to the destination.
