MyApps prevents the computer from locking

Hello everyone,

Since the introduction of MyApps Windows Launcher, we have noticed that computers often no longer lock automatically.

This already occurred under V13, but the behavior persists under V14.

This problem has been pointed out to me several times by colleagues and customers and I have been able to reproduce it several times.

The problem only occurs after a longer runtime, i.e. not directly after restarting MyApps or Windows.

I was able to reproduce it myself this morning. I closed all other programs, including the apps opened in MyApps such as Phone, Call List etc. but Windows does not lock the session. Only after I closed the MyApps Windows Launcher did the desktop lock again automatically.

Have you also observed this problem in other environments?

Do you have a solution for this? It is a major limitation in terms of IT security.

Hi Maik,

myApps only prevents from locking during a call. Afterwards PC should lock again.

There was a problem after 3rd party conference calls which was fixed in sr2. Could you please try with myApps sr2 1410489 version?

If the problem persists, activate only App und Browser trace flags and send us the traces after the problem occurs.

Hi Sergio, i am currently testing the sr2 and also have a ticket open with innovaphone. If the problem persists, I will send the traces to support in the ticket.

I will report whether sr2 has solved the problem.

It Seems that the Problem is solved with v14r1 SR2, Roland.

No problems since one Week.
