getting started - SDK will not initialized by Visual Studio

I want to learn a little bit about programming small tools but my first challenge is already the environment setup. I installed the SDK on 2 different systems (Win10 and Win11) with Visuals Studio Community (2019 and 2022). On both, I can't see the option to create a new Innovaphone-Project. How can I debug this, or is it not possible to use an external SDK with the Community Edition.

Hello Niels,

the innovaphone SDK Visual Studio Plugin will work with any edition of the Visual Studio 2019.

The Visual Studio 2022 version is and will be not supported.

If you use Visual Studio 2019 and follow the steps in this article https://sdk.innovaphone.com/13r3/doc/gettingstarted.htm, it should work.

Important is to have installed all required packages for Visual Studio Linux development.

Try to uninstall the innovaphone SDK, install all required VS options and reinstall innovaphone SDK again.

It would be also great if you could post some more specific error messages to be able to help you.

Thank you Andreas,

indeed I ignored the hint: 'It is important to select the Workload "Linux development with C++'"

I think you have to review this article, because '...we highly recommend to use Visual Studio 2017 or newer'

2022 is newer
